- Jack Chandler 1922 - 2008
UMYC founding member, Jack Chandler passed away April 23 in Minneapolis. Jack was one of the five founding members of the Upper Minnetonka Yacht Club and an E Boat skipper that was hard to beat. Services will be 11AM April 27 at the Lafayette Club. Our condolences to Betty and the entire family.

Upper Minnetonka Sailing School launches an all new adult sailing program
Three exciting new programs are being offered for adults (16+). Learn to Sail for those starting out or wanting to improve basic sailing skills, Race Your Own Boat for sailors that would like to enter the wonderful sport of sailboat racing, and MC Clinics for UMYC members wanting to improve their skills. - 5th Annual Leukemia Cup Regatta on White Bear Lake
The 5th Annual Leukemia Cup Regatta will be held on White Bear Lake September 12-14 at White Bear Boat Works.
Co-hosted by the Black Bear Yacht Racing Association and the White Bear Lake Yacht Club.

The Upper Minnetonka Yacht Club is an informal group that enjoys sailing competition on the lake and fellowship off the lake. The club holds races for E’s, MC’s and Keel boat fleets most Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesday evenings in the west portion of Lake Minnetonka known as Upper Lake. We also have youth fun events and youth racing on many Friday nights. Please consult the schedule portion of our Web site for more details.
The club also boasts an active social calendar. These informal events include Friday evenings "Bar & Grill” at the yacht club on the deck overlooking beautiful Lake Minnetonka. In addition, we host various specialty events and parties throughout the summer at member’s homes who live on the lake
